INEC Ad-Hoc Staff Recruitment Portal 2027: Apply Now

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened its INECPRES portal for the recruitment of ad-hoc election staff for the 2027 General Elections.

The recruitment is for temporary personnel who will support the conduct of the elections in various operational, supervisory, administrative and technical capacities.

1. Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO)

SPOs provide supervisory support for election-day activities within assigned areas.

2. Presiding Officer (PO) / Assistant Presiding Officer (APO)

POs and APOs are involved in the administration and conduct of polling activities at designated polling units.

Potentially eligible applicants include:

• Serving NYSC members.
• Eligible former corps members within the period specified by INEC.
• Eligible students of Federal and State tertiary institutions.
• Certain permanent staff of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
• Eligible INEC permanent staff.

3. Registration Area Centre (RAC) Manager

RAC Managers are responsible for supporting the administration of Registration Area Centres used during the electoral process.

Eligibility may include:

• Heads of schools or institutions designated to host RACs or Super RACs.
• Eligible staff of such institutions, subject to the applicable grade-level and other requirements.

4. Registration Area Technical Support (RATECH)

RATECH personnel provide technical and ICT-related support for election operations.

The category is intended for applicants who meet INEC’s specified technical and ICT requirements, including eligible personnel and students in relevant categories. Applicants should check the current INECPRES requirements before selecting this position.
