Rauf Aregbesola, the former governor and immediate past Minister of Interior, has been suspended by the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for alleged anti-party activities.
The suspension was officially communicated through a letter from Alhaji Tajudeen Lawal, Osun APC Chairman, and further emphasized by the party’s Director of Media and Publicity, Kola Olabisi.
The APC says Aregbesola’s actions are causing problems with party unity in Osun.
Allegedly, his influence among specific groups led to internal divisions, as party leaders argued it weakened unity during a critical period.
The Osun APC’s strategic action aims to address disloyalty and reshape the party’s leadership ahead of elections.
More comments from Aregbesola’s team are expected as the situation evolves.
