Everywhere you look, the world is in a hurry.
Faster internet. Fast deliveries. Speed up careers. And more…
It is easy to become so obsessed with speed that we assume fast must also mean better. But it doesn’t.
A tree doesn’t become stronger because it grows faster. A relationship doesn’t become healthier because it is quick.
Your business doesn’t become enduring because you made money in its first year.
You don’t get wise via shortcuts. The things that matter most in life seem to have made a strange agreement with time. Because time reveals all truths.
We celebrate overnight success, forgetting it has ten invisible years behind it.
The headlines only show the harvest and not the planting. And so you wonder why discouragement happens.
We compare someone’s public fruit with our own private planting. Then we conclude that we are behind.
No! That’s not true. That you are underground does not mean you are behind. That it seems like you are doing nothing doesn’t mean you are not doing anything.
Remember, no one sees a root until the tree becomes obvious. It is God who made it that way to teach us that the strongest foundations don’t attract praise.
So today, don’t despise slow progress. Don’t mistake silence for failure.
Don’t abandon the work simply because nobody is applauding yet.
Keep building. keep praying. One day, we will all call it a success.
