If you run after money, you may actually get it. I understand nature has a way of giving what you demand, rather than what you deserve.

The challenge, however, is that you may remain completely unfulfilled despite having it. You will find yourself discontented even with a full bank account.

“If you love money, you will never be satisfied; if you long to be rich, you will never get all you want. It is useless.” – Ecclesiastes 5:10

This is the reason we have many “successful” people in the world, but very few great people. As the saying goes: Some people are so poor that the only thing they have is money.

Does this mean you should avoid wealth? Absolutely not. You can and should have it in abundance. But money must never come before purpose.

You must place three things ahead of riches:

• Personal Development
• Value
• Service

When you prioritize these, wealth won’t consume you when it finally arrives. True satisfaction stems from who you become and what you give. Wealth is simply a byproduct of those three pillars.

In a former workplace of mine, for a while the company struggled to pay salaries.

At one point, a senior colleague called me aside and asked, “How are you doing it? I have never seen you complain or murmur about the salary delay, yet you remain dedicated.”

I had to make him understand my core philosophy: the absolute necessity to serve and to prioritize delivering value before expecting riches.

In your day-to-day operations, always ensure you prioritize development, value, and service. If you do this consistently, the money will naturally follow.
