We are looking for an experienced Remote WordPress Developer with strong PHP engineering skills to join our team and build powerful, high-performing tools.

About the Role – Senior WordPress/PHP Engineer

This is a full-time remote position for a WordPress/PHP Engineer who can develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins from scratch.

You’ll design features that integrate seamlessly with the WordPress CMS, optimize performance, and deliver secure, scalable solutions. Your work will directly impact SEO, content workflows, and user experience for our clients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress plugins using clean, well-structured PHP code.
  • Implement custom post types, taxonomies, hooks, filters, and WordPress REST API integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve plugin conflicts, AJAX issues, and API errors.
  • Optimize code for website speed, SEO performance, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with designers, SEO specialists, and content teams to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Follow WordPress coding standards, security best practices, and version control workflows (Git).
  • Research and adopt new WordPress development trends and technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience developing WordPress plugins from scratch.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Deep understanding of WordPress database schema and architecture.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with WooCommerce or multisite WordPress environments.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and Google PageSpeed optimization.
  • Knowledge of PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
