President Biden is urging Israel to respond fairly to Iran’s missile attacks and is against attacking Iran’s nuclear sites to prevent the conflict in the region from getting worse.
He wants Israel to find a balanced way to defend itself without causing more trouble.
American officials aren’t trying to secretly talk Israel out of retaliating against Iran. They believed Israel has every right to respond to the attack.
President Biden ground now differs from April when he told Israel to “take the win” after successfully intercepting Iranian drones and missiles.
It’s unclear how Benjamin Netanyahu will react to the message, especially since he’s been successful against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
“Iran made a big mistake, and it will pay for it,” Netanyahu said on Tuesday.
Biden’s been trying to get the Israeli leader to listen, but it’s been negative.
Tuesday’s attack was way bigger than the projectiles Iran fired at Israel in April. Israel and the US nailed it in stopping the missiles, thanks to months of teamwork.
