There is an ongoing protest on Thursday at the PDP secretariat in Port Harcourt about the upcoming Local Government election.
At the time of writing this report, there were a ton of protesters causing traffic jams, and the security officers were having a hard time keeping things under control.
Later on, the protesters were seen with their signs and banners, singing and running along the highway.
INEC still hasn’t handed over the 2023 Voter Register to RSIEC.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Johnson Alalibo, spoke at a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
He said RSIEC applied for the Register, but they haven’t received it yet due to administrative reasons.
Alalibo made it clear that the Commission got the court judgment from Abuja, which says they can’t release the register.
