NNPP Suspends Kano’s SSG and Transport Commissioner

Hashimu Dungurawa, the party’s state chairman, confirmed this.

“We are announcing today that we have suspended the SSG, Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, and the Commissioner of Transportation, Muhammad Diggol, over abuse of power, office, and disloyalty to the party,” Dungurawa stated.

“We commend the leadership of the party from their wards and the Local Government for bringing the issue to us. Their effort in documenting and submitting the concerns in writing facilitated the investigation and decision-making process.”

The suspension occurred due to multiple problems arising from the party’s ward and local government leadership.

According to the DG of information, Sanusu Bature, they were causing trouble for the party’s leadership and structure.

Their wards and local governement backed up the allegations in a formal complaint, so the suspension was unavoidable.

Governor Yusuf recently held a meeting to smooth things over in the NNPP.

The private meeting at the Governor’s office had SSG Bichi and Hamza Maifata, who’s running for Bichi local government chairman.

The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibrin Falgore, and some other House leaders got together to try to make things right.

After the meeting, Dr. Bichi said he’s on board with the Governor and is not part of the “Abba Tsaya da Kafar ka” group who wanted to split Governor Yusuf and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

“I have since submitted myself and all my activities to Governor Abba Yusuf as our leader and accepted all that he wanted. I am ready to abide by it. Regarding the factional group they are talking about, I have nothing to do with them,” Dr. Bichi stated.

He also talked about his involvement in the ‘1 to Tell 10’ campaign for the presidential bid, stressing that it had nothing to do with internal conflicts.

“We voiced our grievances today and came to understand that they were largely fueled by rumors and the enemies of the party,”

“We have now forgiven each other and embraced peace. We will work together like we used to.”
