Wabara is feeling really bad about how the PDP totally messed up in the local government elections in Rivers State.
Former Senate President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of PDP, Senator Adolphus Wabara, said the party lost because they were too busy fighting each other and didn’t listen to wise advice.
He pointed out that the never-ending political crisis in the state played a big role in the party’s loss.
He said…
“This is unprecedented in the history of recent local government elections, where the ruling party and the party of the governor lost its grassroots structure.
The PDP has shot itself in the leg. If we look deeper, it means that technically and literally, the PDP has lost Rivers State,”
“We saw this coming and warned the key players, but instead of heeding our advice, we were ridiculed. Now, the consequences are clear for everyone to see.”
“I believe we have learned the hard way, but it’s not too late. We must come together as a family, resolve our differences, and work towards emerging stronger in 2027,”.
Personal Notes on PDP Lost Rivers, Board of Trustees Not Happy
Since the PDP internal struggle of 2023 elections, the party has not been the same.
And it becomes a thing of concern if the party elders are really doing anything to savage these errors. But Senator Wabara has said it all.
While the elders are speaking, the children are not listening.
A house divided against itself cannot stand.
It is beginning to look like since former president Obasanjo left PDP; the party has not been the same again.
PDP, do something about yourself. If you want to lose, lose. But not your strongholds and because of internal struggles.
Your National Disciplinary Commitee should spring to action.
