The Kaduna State Security Council has put a curfew in place for the local government election on Saturday, October 19, 2024. No one can move from 6am to 7 pm.
This is to guarantee a calm and well-organized voting process.
The State Overseeing Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, has stated that vehicular movements and commercial activities that could disrupt law and order are prohibited during the restriction period (6 am to 7 pm on Saturday).
The only ones who can go out are those doing important things, as long as they have the right ID.
So, they basically told everyone to behave and not mess up the elections.
They also mentioned that security is there to make sure everyone follows the rules.
They also asked everyone to report any suspicious activity to the police instead of taking matters into their own hands.
