Dear Bro James,
I hope this finds you well. And how great was your service yesterday?
I have been having some thoughts and forecasts (you can call it prophecy) about the future of the church and religion as we know it today. But yesterday, while in church, the thoughts became strong and felt like a burden in my heart.
Then, I knew it was time to share with you.
Before the coming of Christ, the people of God gathered in temples, looking up to the priests who looked unto God. Then Jesus came. He declared the Father seeks them that worship him in truth and in spirit.
But rather than us leaning into this truth, organised religion came up. Different doctrines and beliefs. People gathered at a spot and called themselves denominations. Rather than fellowship, they meet to confirm their biases and beliefs.
In the coming days, there is going to be a new turn. And it has started, but only a few have seen it.
People will align more with churches that have an economic value rather than just spiritual power. Churches that will stand will not only be heavenly focused but earthly relevant. These are the fellowships that will become indispensable.
Some will call them rebels but that’s not true. They are the disruptors.
You will see these signs by a massive drop in church attendance and structured Sunday tithes and offerings (people will give cheerfully and not of compulsion). The fellowships that align with these truths will have more than enough to give back to society.
In that time, organised religion as we know it will fade while spirituality will skyrocket. People will know God for themselves and worship him in ways they need to. They will hold on to the truth and not words from the fathers on pulpits.
As for the people of other religions, the followers will question many long-held beliefs and drop their practices. The Kingdom of God will shine as the light of Christ will fill the boardroom, the marketplace and the ends of the earth.
So, sir, it’s my prayer that you walk in this truth and position yourself for that which is to come. For it shall come.
Thank you. The Lord be with thee.
Warm regards,
Oluboba Ayodeji
