“You must have gone insane if you think your story, is my story. I know who I be, and there is no other me.”

This is an excerpt from Davido’s new release, I Know Who I Be.

I attended a seminar while in my 200 Level, and the speaker mentioned something that has stuck with me to this day:

“You can never be someone else. The best you can be is second best. So, find your path (gifts) and grow in it.”

That statement is forever true. You know what you should be doing right now. So why are you doing something else?

You know where your strength lies; why are you desiring someone else’s? We all have an inbuilt gift, and it is our duty to nurture it.

Years ago, it was Sinach’s, “I Know Who God Says I Am”. This year, Davido’s, I Know Who I Be. The message is clear: Know who you are.

To install is God’s. To maximize is yours.

Whatever you have noticed to be your strength or purpose, please start on it. It does not matter how small the baby steps you take are. Just start. Because only you know who you are.
